One of our oldest products, the VulcOring is produced from extruded O Ring cord and 45 degree mold joined (spliced) by a unique process. Not to be confused with cheap adhesive joined or crudely vulcanised products on the market, VulcOrings are a quality made viable alternative to the fully molded O Ring and indeed in some areas, offer distinctly greater advantages. We have taken this product to the highest level of technical quality and offer the widest of dimensional/material choices available. We offer this product in our “Premium Low-Set” quality Extruded cord designed for long term compression sealing. Our special vulcanising process sets us apart from others.
The art of moulding O Rings is varied and vast. Northern specialize in providing fast delivery of small to medium volume O Rings in the highest of quality compounds. Our size range reaches 1100.0mm diameter and all our moulds are made in-house. We offer technically designed compounds for such demanding industries as Semi-Conductor, Food Process, Petrochemical and Pharmaceutical (FFKM, FKM, Aflas®, EDR & HNBR). There is always a client who cannot wait for the trades slow-coaches or who won’t accept the poor properties found widely on today’s market. This is where Northern come in, we bring you quality and service when others can’t! We have years of experience in manufacturing Custom Moulded products in elastomer compounds. All but the most sophisticated moulds are made in our Sheffield tool room facility. Our lead times are considerably shorter than most and our capacity is huge.
